• Austin, Texas [Couple’s Getaway]

We hit the road and headed to Austin, Texas. My partner recently lost her grandmother, who was more like her mother; and had been having some rough days. We needed a little getaway, so off we went. We’re in Dallas, so Austin is only about a three hour drive. We didn’t have an agenda, we just wanted to explore the city a little bit and relax. We stayed at the Residence Inn Austin/The Domain Area. The Domain area is in the Northwest part of Austin. A lot of this area is brand new and some areas are still under construction. Its about 15 minutes away from the popular, touristic, busier part of the city.…

  • Magnolia Market At The Silos

I have been a fan of Fixer Upper on HGTV for a long time. I am not only an admirer of Chip and Jo’s work, but I find a lot inspiration in their work ethic and family ties. This visit to Waco, Texas was a long time coming. These days I can’t help but think of Chip and Jo when I think of Waco and Texas Travel. They have introduced this beautiful state and city to people all from all over the United States. Waco was their greatest fixxer upper. We finally ventured out to Waco, during Spring At The Silos. I looked into it and aside from the regular…

  • Mexico City

Here are some photos from our short, yet wonderful visit to Mexico City. We were there only a couple of days: April 11th - April 15th. It was Diego's first visit there, and his aunts return after 20 years. Needless to say, we were all excited! We hope to return soon, there is lots to see, to do, and lots of family to visit. All of these photos were taken with my iPhone. I usually take my camera, but with this being my first time with my little one; and with his love of running and exploring I decided to leave the camera behind. The best part of this trip…

  • [Planning] Diego’s 1st: Mexico City Visit

Diego and I traveled to Mexico city in April. It was a trip that was both causing a lot of excitement and anxiety for me. This was the first time I traveled with Diego. No only that, but it was also first time on a plane and first time out of the country for him. I had to plan and make this easy for him and for myself. I love the organizing behind a trip. I make lists for everything! That is not an exaggeration. My Pre-Vacation Lists consisted of: List of: Things to buy for the trip (Motrin, Desitin, Tums, Pepto, travel size toiletries..etc.) Packing: Things not to forget…
